it’s all wants
it’s all needs
the rich flaunts
the poor pleads

ICE
Ice once blanketed the land A frozen, pristine wonderland But now it melts and slips away As we watch in horror day by day The polar ice caps shrink and crack As greenhouse gases attack The warming Earth, with heedless pace Leaves little time to change our ways
Pain of a Father
my daughter
you use her, as your weapon.
i pick her up
and she is glad, to be
out of the cold
the warmth of her, disappearing
with each new time
she returns to you
fighting to stay away
from you
crying about going back
as a father
i am, on unequal footing
you have all the rights
as you kill
my daughter’s flame
Ice
all our life
we walk around
as if we are walking on ice
scared to say
scared to act
scared to exist
Our Feelings
our feelings
they drag us under
pull us under
it is all but an
illusion
Wonder
we wonder
as children
as adults
we wonder
where the wonder
went
Regression
we stand before our gods
we bow our heads
we can no longer
look at them.
we have killed society
The Light
the light
is at the end
of the tunnel.
i cannot
even
see
the tunnel
Fight
people can stand
people can fight
i’d rather
walk
away
I Try
i try and be good
i seem to fail
i maybe should
try and not rail
against being misunderstood
